Our four stores are based in vibrant and exciting London neighbourhoods; Covent Garden houses our flagship, the vintage haven Brick Lane hosts two stores and our original bricks and mortar stands opposite the market in Camden where the brand was born one sultry summer in 1986.

The rest of the team are based under one roof in the UK's largest vintage warehouse where around 8,000 garments are processed for the stores every week, the Rokit Recycled team customise and create clothing and accessories from unusable garments alongside the website and marketing teams.

Social Media Assistant

The role

We have an immediate requirement for a Social Media Assistant. This is a great opportunity to join the ECommence team and drive the growth of our online business.

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the role is to develop our social media channels to imcrease engagement and reach. 

Key responsibilities

Develop engaging, creative, innovative content for regularly scheduled posts.

Monitor all social media channels, responding to any mentions.

Assist with the planning of marketing strategies.

Keep up to date with social media trends.

Produce content that is consistent with the brand message.

Assist with KPI Reporting.

Work with the stores to collect social media content.

Create content for blog and newsletters .

Assist with photoshoots.

Required skills

Minimum of 2 years experience of building Social Media communities.

Freelance Machinist

The role

ROKIT ORIGINALS are looking for an experienced Production Machinist to join our team on a part time, freelance basis.

ROKIT ORIGINALS are the in-house brand at Rokit Vintage, specialising in trend driven, sustainable & reworked vintage clothing. The whole range is made in London.

Your experience must include all aspects of garment construction and alterations as well as the use of professional machines. You should be able to read a pattern and follow the pattern for sampling and production, and also maintain a high-quality standard in a timely manner. You must be a team player, be willing to collaborate and support other staff members and take well to instruction.

You must be proficient in the construction of garments from roll, and experience working with repurposed textiles & garments is a plus. 

Communication in English is essential.

Efficiency and time management are critical.

Ensure all products are made to the highest quality at all times

Sewing, with experience in high-quality sewing and making a complete garment within a production line system

Reading fitting notes and spec sheets

Accuracy, demonstrating sewing skills and attention to detail

Working with industrial sewing machines, with previous experience in flatbed, over lockers, walking foot, cover stitch & rolled hem machines.

Commercial or industry experience across multi-product areas, ideally at a high street or supplier level.

A methodical, organised approach to work, able to prioritise your workload when working to deadlines

Technical knowledge and experience of garment construction and fit across multi-product areas

Excellent communication skills, able to work under pressure, be flexible, self-motivated and a team player

Experience with leather, denim & accessories manufacture are a bonus.

The role

Cut sample & production garments in a wide variety of fabrics, as well as from vintage garments.

Liaise with studio manager and machinists

Bring any discrepancies in fabric meterage, flaws and colour shading to the attention of the studio manager.

Working in an efficient manner, being organised and aware of deadlines.

Produce fabric costings.

Working and co-operating in a team environment to achieve daily targets

minimising waste when cutting fabric by using patterns appropriately on the fabric

Good eye for detail

Accurate, straight, strong cutting skill even on silky fabrics

Previous experience working with a wide range of fabrics

Previous experience working on placement prints, repeat prints, stripes, borders and having the ability to match patterns correctly if required.

The ability to read and understand specification sheets

Confident, dynamic & versatile.

Assistant Store Manager

THE ROLE

Opportunities have arisen in our Bricklane stores for assistant managers to join the team. 

The main objective of the role is to support the store manager to manage all store operations, customer service and lead a dynamic team to drive the store forward.

You will have a vibrant personality and excellent floor presence. 

You will have a huge passion for customer service and inspire the team to provide a level of service that represents the Rokit ethos.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Deliver a high level of one on one customer service.

Support the manager to manage and develop the store team: Delivering reviews and supporting in disciplinary procedures.

Recruit and train individuals suitable for the Rokit brand. 

Inspire and motivate your team.

Communicate with team members from various aspects of the business in a professional and concise manner.

Organise and prioritise projects and tasks and delegate effectively.

Manage daily shipment processes and ensure the shop floor gets replenished.

Inventory management: Conducting weekly stock takes and managing correct inventory levels.

Be compliant with health and safety processes and company policy and procedures.

Analyse company reports and work alongside your store manager and company's visual team to react to trends and make commercial decisions.

Ensure the team are compliant with store standards set in place.
