Long Live Levis

It was in 1873 that Levis Strauss manufactured ‘waist overalls’ otherwise known as blue jeans. Since then, for numerous practical and stylised reasons, Levis have become a globally recognised jean. Near enough everyone on the planet will have come across, had the pleasure of wearing, or been handed down a pair of Levis jeans. Which is good news for us, as we always want plenty of vintage Levis jeans in stock!

Patina of the Pants

Modern jeans often try to replicate the patina of vintage Levis jeans. It’s a nice thought, but it’s something that can’t be bought. Each little scuff, tear, twist and stain on a vintage pair of Levis has a story behind it. Whilst many would be put off by such discrepancies, these are the aspects which make vintage jeans so unique. Well worn Levis will warp and fray, creating white whiskers across pocket seams and on rips. They will show fades where perhaps a wallet has been stowed away in a back pocket, all of which takes many years of wear and gives vintage Levis their character.
