This particular pair are plucked from the 1950's and stand as a rare and collectable garment. The denim is treated to give a lived in effect from the word go, meaning that additional wear is always welcomed. The red flag and leather tag are sadly absent from this pair, but other identifying marks are still present.
The 'Double X' as it is known feature on this pair, introduced in 1936, this concealed rivet can only be seen from the inside of the jeans, a clear indicator of value. The inside facing buttons, used for attaching suspenders also show the age and rarity of this apparel classic. Sliver toned button fasten the fly, something the 501s are known for. Finally tan top stitching decorates the seams.
This pair of old blues have a considerable amount of wear, mainly in the fraying of edges such as pockets hems, stitching is loose of jolted in areas and light stains appear over the surface of the fabric.
