Original Levi's 557 indigo wash denim jacket dating from 1967. The jacket also features the big 'E' on the red tab. This is the second version of the type III 557 trucker jackets, made in 1967 so very collectable.
It feature Big E tab, larger inside label with 557xxx model number, blue stitching beneath the front pocket flaps.
With contrasting yellow stitching, two chest pockets, embossed copper rivet buttons and buttoned adjuster tabs either side of the waist, this jacket is a rare find and a must have for all denim and vintage lovers alike.
In blue denim with a great stonewashed fade and worn in patina. There is colour variation to the sleeves and edges, light fraying and fading to key points of wear including collar tips, waistband and cuffs, the odd paint spatter here and there, and a large frayed tear across the top of the collar (does not penetrate second layer of denim). With contrast pale yellow stitching; two flap covered chest pockets; buttoned tabs on either side of the waistband and brass rivet buttons throughout. At some stage in its history a previous owner has sewn on a 'Fly United' United Airlines patch on the chest.
100% cotton. Labelled size 44 but please also refer to measurements as shrinkage and expansion can occur over time with wash and wear.
