The devil truly is in the detail in this stunning 1940s piece, which proves, once again, that they really don't make them like they used to.
With its beautiful beaded half mandarin collar, sitting above a typically 40s open slit neckline, this is a blouse worthy of any Film Noir heroine.
Built around a simple bodice, fitted to the figure with two darts extending from the waist, both front and back, and two short darts at the shoulder back.
The fabric is gathered into the darts at the front, creating two rows of ruching which accentuate the waist.
A two and a half inch turn up runs the length of the hem which sits on the hip.
Sleeves are three-quarter length with a matching turn up and double darts at the elbow.
there are some slight heat treated marks around the edges but it is still beautifully wearable.
Eight cloth covered metal buttons fasten up the back, and again attention to detail is paid, the back of the buttons being painted black to avoid any unseemly flashes of silver.
So if you're into smoking cigarettes under streetlamps in the dark or just looking 100x more glamorous than anyone else in the room, this BB is for you - red lips obligz.
