Vintage 40s Damson Coloured Coat

Superb original 1940s coat in rich, damson coloured fine wool gabardine (or similar fabric.)

This ladylike coat is just waiting to be teamed with fabulous vintage tea dresses and hats, and comes fitted at the waist with an inverted box pleat at the back gently flaring the skirt for retro femininity.

Features lightly padded shoulders for structure, a wide collar with oversize lapels, slit hip pockets, buttoned self-fabric back belt, loose fitting sleeves with folded cuffs anchored by fabric covered buttons, and matching fabric covered buttons to fasten at the front. Lined in a silvery taupe satin fabric.

Overall a wonderful addition to your winter wardrobe, in excellent condition given its age.
