60s Purple Suede Fringed Pioneer Jacket

Invest in this stunning example of vintage wester wear, straight out of the 60s hippy movement.

Made by the Berman Buckskin Co of Minneapolis, MN, this pioneer jacket comes in soft purple suede with a characterful worn in patina and colour variation commensurate with age and the original markings of the hide.

Featuring neat collar, knotted brown buttons to fasten, and two diagonally set hip pockets. With heavy, long fringing across the chest, back, hem and under the sleeves. Some of the fringing has been braided at intervals around the jacket.

One button has at some stage been replaced with another in a similar style and there is some wear to the surface of the remaining buttons. There are one or two marks here and there in keeping with wear.

Jacket is unlined.
