Fashion on the Ration (5 March-31 August) looks at how fashion survived and even flourished under the strict rules of rationing in 1940s Britain, often in new and unexpected ways. The exhibition explores how men and women found new ways to dress as the rationing of clothes took hold, revealing what life was really like on the home front in wartime Britain.

We want you to embrace the idea of 'Best Dressed for Less' and spirit of Fashion on the Ration. Share a photo of your best vintage outfit that costs the least. This might include clothes you picked up in a bargain bin, hand-me-downs or clothes that originally had completely different purposes (such as the dress made from parachute silk that's featured in the exhibition). So take up the challenge and show us all how you are Best Dressed for Less!
