If you ladies approve of a man in uniform, or gentlemen appreciate a seamed stocking or two then you are in for a treat. On the 17th and 18th September, Chatham's Historic Dockyard will be transformed into a wartime retreat with live music, tea time treats and even a visit from Winston Churchill and His Maj.

The Spirit of Kent original Spitfire will be circling above as you jive away to the likes of The Polka Dot Dolls and The London Swing Orchestra drumming out the toe tapping tunes that had us dancing all the way to victory.

After all that dancing, you'll have no doubt built up an appetite. Not to worry; the NAAFI Wagon is on hand to satisfy all your tea time needs, serving wartime favourites like bread pudding and a good old fashioned brew right out the back of an original 1940s military truck. If you're on the lookout for something a little stiffer, The London Bus Bar, a converted double decker will be on hand to satiate your strictly grown up needs.

Expecting a more civilised affair? Shy away from salacious debauchery and sign up to the Women's Institute; your Bake Sales and Ambulance fundraisers on the Home Front are sure to support our boys overseas. Dig for Victory in the Commissioner's House Gardens or have your Victory rolls pinned to perfection; with vintage and wartime re-enactors in abundance you really will feel like you're stuck in the '40s.

We've got two VIP packages to give away for the event. Each VIP package contains 2 x tickets for Salute to the '40's, 2 x Annual passes to The Historic Dockyard Chatham, and a vintage afternoon tea for two. To enter, simply tweet at us @rokitvintage with the hashtag #salutetothe40s and we'll pick the two winners at random. These will then be announced on September 3rd.
