Double Whammy: Ways to do Double Denim

Posted on

Don't doubt that daring desire to double up your denim (try saying that 10 times fast). Although it's a supposed tabboo, at Rokit we have styled some ways in which you can Rok-it (ha ha) vintage style and step out in your doubled up emsemble with pride. It's a huge trend that can (and should) be worn by everyone!

90s Style

Mix it up by pairing a striped sleeveless shirt with an acid wash, high-waisted skirt. Throw over a sheepskin and denim jacket for that bit of warmth on your arms, and finish with a denim patchwork rucksack. The mixture of patterns breaks up the outfit and gives the impression of different materials, not all denim, with a certain grungey appeal.

Acid Wash

Keep it simple at first, with some blue jeans and a green velvet high neck top. But jazz this outfit up with an acid wash denim jacket, and suddenly you're the very definition of cool! A nice denim rucksuck won't go amiss here either.

Head to Toe

This outfit is just too good, slightly different shades of denim that break it up, whilst still tying it all together, and giving you a great mixture of textures. The pinstripes will elongate your legs and a little cropped, embroidered jacket will get you in the spring time feeling with a pop of colour thrown in.

Dyed Denim

Pastel colours and floral prints will be perfect this summer and for the festival season. A vintage tee under your short dungarees will squeeze in nicely, and the pastel yellow denim jacket will give you those summer vibes. Pop on a denim sun hat for some added quirk and you'll be ready to stay cool in the heat.
