Fashion Week SS17 kicks off!

Rokit photographers Matt and Julia braved the rain this morning to see what the first day of LFW SS17 had to offer. After getting drenched to the bone, they took cover in the showrooms and went on the hunt for cool, up and coming designers. This is what they found...

Clio Peppiatt has been on our radar since we saw her hotel inspired presentation back in February. We headed to the On|Off space on Marshall Street to check out her SS17 offerings. Entitled 'Fast Women', this was all about foxy girl racers draped across toy motorbikes, tyres and gem embellished car parts. Strappy heels to kill and a fire red colour running throughout, the collection featured classic Peppiatt naked lady doodles and fun fur. Not sure we've got the figure for that Britney-esque bodysuit though…

Next up was Phiney Pet. Stepping into 'The Cult Of Our Bedroom Fantasies' we weren't quite sure what to expect. The emo, eyeliner run face which was painted onto the invites didn't match the blasting of Ginuwine's 'Pony' and neon yellow strip lighting. However, the customisation, sequins and colours on show at The Generator space certainly screamed youth. Badge pinned bags, braided hair with contrasting eye shadows and knee socks completed Phiney's teenage fantasy - and we're definitely not too old to wear it.

Last but not least, CAINE. Hayley and Matt originally started customising vintage jackets, but now manufacture their own denim. The leather is still vintage though, and we're obsessed with their Courtney and Winona back prints!
